there is scheduling agreement created with a customer. it has a target quantity and ordered. i opened up an existing sch agree. and saw that ordered quantity column was there with some quantity. is it necessary to fill order qty. customer can still create a scheduling agree without placing the first order. can he place orders later ? and still can i save the schedul agreement?

When U enter the Sch. lines for an item in Sch agr, d sys adds up the qty that 've already been entered & compares them to both d target qty & qty already shipped. This gives you an overview of all open qty.
If d qty in sch. line xceeds d target qty, d sys issues a warning message.
IF THE CUSTOMER REQUIRES IT, YOU CAN PROCESS INVOICES PERIODICALLY.

Hi Swathi,
sch agreements are generally created before the sales order and later referred for creating the sales orders till the target quantity get over
