Hi Suresh

there are two stacks in XI 1)java stack 2) Abap stack

transaction SXMB_MONI is used for monitoring the messge flow in integration engine for java stack . Basically its main use is for monitoring while message is processing . in this you can see all the pipeline steps in processing.

Also you can use SXI_MONITOR in place of SXMB_MONI both are same T CODES

RWB (runtime work-bench) here all monitoring part is done like component monitoring, end to end monitoring , message monitoring ,performance monitoring,index administration, alert configuration etc

some time message processed in java engine fails in adapter engine

through RWB you can monitor those messages also

also through RWB you can monitor message in java engine.

Hi,

see sxmb_moni is one of the tcode used for monitoring the messge flow in integration engine when the message is picked up and trying to ssend into the target which ever u have specefied ........so basically its main use is for monitoring

and RWB (runtime work-bench) here all monitoring part is done which is a very important part of xi......there are many sites regarding the RWB and monitoring tools ......just go through once........

one thing: from RWB you can monitor integration engine and adapter engine. From SXMB_MONI, only integration engine monitoring is possible.

sxmb_moni will help u to monitor message flow inside Integration Engine.

Runtime Workbench will help for the adapter engine and other java based componenet monitoring
