Deleting duplicate bussiness partners.

Dear All,

We have some duplicate entries of bussiness partners with same user ID but different BP numbers and few un used.

I have used BUPA_DEL and I have run a test run to delete selected bussiness partner and it comes with o/p "bussiness partner can be deleted", but when I actually try to delete by unticking all check boxes, I get message " fatal error occured " and bussiness partner is not deleted.

I have also tried by checking option "archiving" in bussiness partner entry. Any any body advice how do out I come out of this situation ?

I did not mean that this issue is in Solution Manager rather than a CRM system.

Hey Yadu,

You can try our luck with following SAP notes....

Note 1068170 - Report BUPA_TEST_DELETE ends with fatal error.

Note 732410 - No Error generated if fatal error during deletion of BP

Basically, just ensure one thing, if BP you want to delete is used in some business transactions, then that business partners is not deleted..

Hi Anand,

Your answer is helpful to take me to right direction to start with.

Note : 1068170 is apparently applicable to CRM system.

Note : 732410 is applicable to Solution Manager is for SAPKA7005, but we are on SAPKA70012 , and when I applied note it said N/A.

I will dig further and come back to you with more questions...

You are right! I have applied note 1068170 and System is now allowing to delete Business partners.
