Hi guys,
Another question, and some clarifications needed. How's SAP supporting Windows CE (in particular Windows CE 5.0) for Mobile Infrastructure 7.0
In PAM I can see only Windows Mobile/PocketPC 2003 SE/Windows Mobile 5.0, and here we are talking about different things. Also for CrEme you have to choose between Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 2003.
It will be great if somebody can provide me this information regarding the Windows Mobile naming/releases and their connections with SAP's PAM.
Thank you.
Hi Gheorghe,
Windows CE is an embedded OS, currently used for small foot-print devices like industrial controllers, communication hubs, point of sales, etc. Windows Mobile is built on top of Windows CE for standardization purposes, during the fact that Windows CE is more like highly customizable framework rather then an OS.
SAP is not supporting Windows CE devices for it's MI products. Only Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0 are supported. What you did see in SAP's PAM is correct.
Hope it helps. Regards.
