Hi all,
I just want to make sure that we can use an XML-struckture with tag-names in uppercase for an XI struckture with lowercase fieldnames?
Anyone?
Thank You
Hello ,
That is convention not a rule.
But Regarding the tag names, they are case sensitive in any struckture of XML ,irrespective of normal XML or XI XML

Hi Thomas,
If you want to use tag names in upper case and field name in lower case just for the sake of visibility, then ofcourse you can use like this.
But remember that XML is case sensitive language then every where when you will be accessing tags or fields , you have to take care of this that what have u defined in upper case and what in lower case.
My suggestion is that you should be in practice of standard notation
To learn more in XML you can access a book on XML from the following link
this is free of cost and it gives very good understanding of XML. Just you have to make your account on this site that is also free.
hope it may help you
thanks

Re-Edit, because i understand wrong the question. Now, i suppose that the Field names = Attributes?. In this case there are no problems wiht the case sensitive.

Thomas,
Can you explain your scenario abit more as what you are trying.
If you are asking <NAME> is the same as <name> in XML, then definitely no. XML is case sensitive.
