What is the difference between SE16 and SE16N.

Hi,

Se16 you need to select extra fileds and either techical or description of the filed will be dsplayed.

Where as in SE16N no need to select filed and you can see description as well as techical name of the filed in the same screen.

se16n gives more of user friendliness to the consultants than se16

In SE16 either the technical field name or the description can be done. In SE16N both can be seen

In se16, the input fields has to be manually added or deleted, but in se16n that is not needed.

Similarly in se16n, the output fields can be decided while giving the selection criteria itself, we dont need to customise that in the menu -

So SE16N is more friendly than SE16. However functionally, both do the same thing and display the database entries.

some times functional people doest have the access to Tcode: SE16 in Dev sys

then they will use SE16n

SE16 is an older version using older technology, SE16n, uses ALV grid instead of the old list. Other than that, they do the same thing.
