Who to learn BW best to Use OR in an extraction ?

Hello out there,

<i>...just a a simple SQL task ...</i>

...I need to extract a subset of a Datasource<b> OR</b>:

<b>How to learn BW to use </b> OR <b>in extraction best</b>

- the subset can be identified by about 100 different values of an attribute.

- the subset also is available in an internal table.

Where is the <b>OR</b> best done - in terms of fastest ?

- in the Data-Selection of the InfoPackage ( and how ? ) ?

- in the StartRoutine / DATA_Package of the ODS while deleting the datapackages ?

Thank You

I would restrict data in infopackage selection, if its hitting keys of base tables ( if based on view)..

And if not then delete the data in start routine.

You can always compare the time taken by both approach

Dear Gaurav ,

can I implement in the InfoPackage a kind of list / table = dynamic filter

of loadable datasets - in other words:

I provide a Masterdata InfoObject -(Table) and only those datasets

are selected in the InfoPackage to be loaded. Now I can change the

Data in the MasterDataInfoObjects and this changes the selection in the InfoPackage ?

Thank You !

Martin
