Hello,
Any one tell in the detail complete flow from the sender to xi, What are the Adapter like Soap XML and last to the Reciver.
Regards,
vinay.
Hi vinay
message flow from sender to XI depends on your sender agreement
first defining your sw component you design the message and mappings then you define channels and agrements for sender and receiver
depending upon that web browser takes the request and depending upon the request type (request for abap or java) internet communication manager (ICM) directs it to the dispatcher then dispatcher assigns it to the required work process
There are three types of engine in XI server
adapter engine is one of them which is a java connector architecture(JCA) compliant adapter engine for connecting backend systems to XI'
ADAPTER:-
"one that adapts such as device used to effect operative compatibility between different parts of one or more pieces of aparatus" (Dictionary deffinition)
An XI adapter enables compatibility between the XI Integration server and an Application system.
there are three types of adapter based on their function
1)application (sap, siebel,oracle)
2)technical (file,JDBC,JMS,SOAP, SMTP)
3)industory standard (rosetta net,CIDX)
for more details on scenario you can read TBIT 40 and for adapters you can follow TBIT 42

Thanks
