Hi all,
We have recently installed NWDI. At the moment, we have stored our java Project in the DTR server. But we have not used the CBS. Is the usage of CBS mandatory ? Do you have some information/documentation of how to use it ?
Thx.
Hi Elliot,
There is not separate configuration required for setting up CBS with the developer studio.
If you have set up the NWDI, and if you are using the NWDI infrastructure to develop your projects...then you must definitely require a CBS. It goes like this...
Source codes are versioned and maintained in DTR.... CBS(Component build service) is used for the builds and CMS(change management system)is used for the transports.
If you have not set up your CBS server..then the link below should help you to configure the same:
<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/31/9959400d9d1059e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/31/9959400d9d1059e10000000a155106/frameset.htm</a>
Once you have set up everything...you just have to import the track in the developer studio..and it will help you in interacting with DTR and CBS implicitly.
Hope this helps.
