Hello experts,
I use a Surname (a CHAR(60) Characteristic) as Navigation Attribute, but in Bex it only shows "#"! Why? Is it too long??

No it will not be a problem of length. It may be due to no data for attribute, symbol means value is not assigned. Check for data. Surely it will not be due to length problem.

Check that you have loaded the data on the master data as it's a master data issue not on the length of the object.
Also check that you are loading long text and not short text.
