DTR parameter fastFirstIntegrate

What effect has the setting of the parameter 'com.tssap.dtr.pvc.versionmg.DefaultIntegrator.fastFirstIntegrate' in the DTR repository properties to false as recommanded in the note 985821 (https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/985821)?

In the DTR server there is an optimization for the first integrate into a workspace. If a workspace is empty there is no need to go through the whole integrate algorithm which computes the active versions and checks for collisions, but the integration source can be simply copied into the workspace. If the parameter 'com.tssap.dtr.pvc.versionmg.DefaultIntegrator.fastFirstIntegrate' is set to false this optimization is switched off and instead of this the normal integrate algorithm is used for the first integration into a workspace.

For some databases the optimization for the first integrate into a workspace is not properly working so that this optimization needs to be switched off.

I'm the author of this answer and just wanted to share this information here in SDN. Originally I posted this in the SAP internal DTR forum at SAP Forge but since this is not accessible from outside of SAP I decided to now also put it here on SDN.

You can also add it to <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=14385">the NWDI FAQ in the SDN Wiki</a>. To me that seems like a more logical place.
