pls explain MRP view 4 - Follow-up matl field?

what use? how to use?

Hi,

A particular material X to be discontinued. Instead of that you want to use some other material Y. For that reason this field will use.

In MRP 4 view of material X , make discontinued indicator tick. Give effective date.

Give the follow up material no.Y.

Result: From effective date, material X will be replaced by material Y.

thanks for your reply

i did the same but still cant display get the result.

when i run MD02 for material X, no result display for material Y ( no requirement )
