Generation of dynamic links in notification emails

Dear board,
I would like to find out if there is a possibility to prepare custom links in the email messages configured in the "path" stage in the AE /RE workflow. Something which may carry the actual link to the processed role as variable. Is it possible to do other things despite from the "EMail Arguments" drop down components?
The reason is, that I do not find the information available for role approvers in the AE sufficiently comprehensive.

I do not know of a standard way to update the email the AE sends out with "variables" but I did want to ask you, what additional information are you looking to provide your role owner/approvers?
