R/3 4.7 - Concerns for change of IP & domain

Hi all,

We have a R/3 servers which we'd need to move it to another IP and probably on another domain.

Would like to gather some information from you guys: What are the considerations when changing the IP or domain of a R/3 system? Any steps or in any transactions should I update this change?

Hello,

There are numerous notes relating to what you need to do when there are

IP address\hostname changes in an SAP environment - see notes

403708 & 52967 in conjunction with your online help files.

Are you using a hosts file and\or DNS for the hostname to IP address

resolution here? Please ensure that your hosts file and\or DNS are

properly updated to reflect the new hostname of the destination

in question. Also ensure that you refresh the hostname buffer ->

SM51 - GoTo - Hostname Buffer - Reset - Total System.
