Change the length of the SAP User -ID

we actually work with Release ECC 6.0 and we want to change the length of the user-id from 12 characters up to 20 characters, Is that possible? How

This input lenght is the standard set from the SAP. You need to create an OSS message to get advice from SAP. thanks

I got an reply for my oss-call.

It's not possible without a global redesign to change the length of the User-ID.

I read the notes. In our case we use only the abap instances. I didn't see any possible parameters to change the user-id length?

You are right, obviously User-ID length cannot be configured with the procedure I sent you. Unfortunately, I cannot tell more about this. Maybe someone else can shed some light..
