hi all,
what is the difference betwwen DYNAMIC TEXT nad short/longtext IN ALERTS? can both b used once?
Regards,
Keerthi
when u want to capture the system driven error message in alert u will be using dyn.text option.
short text is used in cases for mail subject and long text in place for mail body. The title is used as mail title, fax subject, and alert title in the inbox. The long text is used as mail/fax body and the long text view in the inbox. The short text is used for pager and SMS.

Hi keerthi t ,
Defining the Alert Category
Define the required alert category.
The alert category specifies, for example, the text for the alert and all details relating to its delivery.
NOTE : If you want to define the text for the alert later in the integration process, choose Dynamic Text.
Decide whether you want to specify the long text for the alert in the alert category or in the control step.
If you want to specify the long text in the control step, you need to select the Dynamic Text field in the alert category definition.
Make a note of the name of the category, since you will need to enter this later in the process editor.
