SLD

We have separate SLD's for DEV/QA and Prod.

Now we are moving into our production. In Prod the SLD Objects are created Manually.

Once the IR and ID transports are complete, in ID under the Business Systems, whether all the comm channels used will automatically appear? or we have to assign the comm channels to the respective business system?

Thanks.

In the Administration part of the SLD, there is an option for "Data Suppliers", which you should point to your QA and Production SLDs!

You have two options here:

once the new data has been set up in that SLD (qa), you can create your transport paths automatically which will create the new business system when you import into QA

or, what i would do, set up everything in Development for you QA and Prod systems with the transport paths defined and distribute across the SLDs as completed already. Then the imports will work normally.

Hi Jenni,

When you transports the ID, you have to configure the Communicaton Channel again as in productioin systems user, passwords and application systems etc will be different.

thanks

hi jenni,

wen u transport IR n ID objects communication channels will be also transported. but the pointers the communication channels contain for different systems like system IPs, system number , user name passwords etc , u will have to mention again as they change with ur changing systems.

[reward if helpful]

regards,

latika.

Since u had created the SLD objects manually (as attributes changes) i think there requires a manual job aswell
