Hi,

In transaction code CS02, there is field BOM Status. I want this field to be changeable only for certain users & for other users it should be in display mode. I have created a role & assigned transaction CS02. But i am not getting any field called BOM status where i can put the activity as 03(display).

Is it possible to restrict

nope. there's no SAP standard object referring to single fields. you can either work with change-documents, revisions etc. thereby restricting access to groups of BOMs or you have to check for an enhancement (user-exit, bapi ...) to accomplish that.
