can any one say what is price list and its importance and also where to configure it

Config is IMG-SD-BF-PRICING-PRICE LIST TYPE

and u cna assign the price list type for a particular customer at xd01 sales area data pricelist type

Hi Rajesh,

If you want to offer a similar price for a group of customer with a specific currency in a particilar segment.say retail or whole sale or ...any industry.

you can utilised the field "price list" in your respective pricing access sequence.

you can define the field price list in following menu.

IMG - SD - Basic function - pricing - maintain price relvant master data field - define price list category for customer.

and finally you can assign this to all respective customer in XD02-sls area data- sales

Price List. (PLTYP)

Identifies a price list or other condition type (for example, a surcharge or discount).

You can define price list types according to the needs of your own organization. Price list types can be grouped according to:

The kind of price list (for example, wholesale or retail).

The currency in which the price appears

The number of the price list type

You can use price list types to apply conditions during pricing or to generate statistics.

In the customer master record, enter one of the values predefined for your system. The system proposes the value automatically during sales order processing. You can change the value manually in the sales document header.
