SSO between Systems Kindly Help

Hi,

We have Portal(Java alone) Ecc6 and 4.6 system.

This it how we connected the systems.

We have connected all portal users to ECC(one user) using user mapping.

We have configured SSO between Portal and 4.6.

Now we are creating an web dynpro application in ECC and it in turns calls some RFC in 4.6.

Please tell the flow will work or not.

1 So when a user logs into portal he will be getting the SAP logon ticket.

2 Web dynpro application in ECC is called. (Now through User mapping it will call?)

3 That web dynpro application in turn call RFC (!! WE have defined SSO between Portal and 4.6 so will it take SAP Logon Ticket automatically and get the data specific for the portal user<->R3 user to the web dynpro application or it doesnt use SSO ) .

In short

Portal to ECC user mapping

Portal to 4.6 SSO.

Now ECC can call 4.6 automically or what configuration have to be done here.

Kindly address if i am wrong in my assumption and share ur ideas .

Rk

In Step 2, whether user mapping will be used or not depends on the system used for accessing the webdynpro application. If the system used is configured for user mapping then user mapping will be used, if the system uses SAPLOGONTICKETS then SSO will be used.

In Step 3, how the RFC call is determined by how the JCO destination is defined.
