Storage Bucket profile

Hi Friends,

I have created a new time bucket profile, with a new fiscal year variant, and i attached it to my planning book, when i ran the consistency check, i got an error, Time bucket profile is not appropriate to storage bucket profile.

I find that in my storage bucket profile, i have a different fiscal year variant than that of my time bucket profile.

I think this may be the problem.

My question is this the problem??...also for this i have decided to change the fiscal yr variant in the storage bucket profile, by de activating the whole planning area. By doing so will i have any impact else where in my BW part (reports etc).

Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

Hi,

you shd have same Fiscal yr Variant in both Storage & Planning bucket Profile.

Storage Bucket Prof is for Store the Data & Planning bucket Prof is to Display in Planning Book.

Now deactivate Planning Area has no effect on BW (except remote cube). but do one thing take backup(in back Cube) then do deactivation.
