core.xxxxx files in /sapdb/data/wrk/<SID> directory

Hi Guru,

I have some core.xxxxx files in sapdb working directory /sapdb/data/wrk/<SID>. These files are few gigs in size (around 6 gig each).

What these files are and how I can clear them?

Hi Sanjiv,

core files are generally memory dumps , these files if you cannot debug the file, you can delete them, however check with your DBAs if they have some information on the same.
