Hi All...
Got stuck with an unusual request... i need to restrict certain domains so if a user try sending mails from SAP to those domains they don't get sended...
SOST -> Open the SMTP node -> Support address type -> Internet -> Set
Basically here under "Address Area" you can specify the domains you want to allow...
My question is, Is there any place you can enter the domains to restrict?
regards
Juan
Hi Juan,
We do it from transaction SCOT (system status view)
Double-click on the SMTP node.
Click on the "Set" Button for Supported address types "internet"
In address areas, we enter only the authorised addresses anf to authorize a full domain, we enter *@mydomain.xxx
I guess this is the same logic as in SOST.
I don't think it is possible to authorize all domains by default and to forbid only those to restrict.
Our SAP SMTP is connected to the Company Exchange server. If I had the need, I would try the restriction at the Exchange level...
Best Regards,
Olivier
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I thought this could not be configured in Netweaver. Isn't that expected to happen on the mail server?
P.S. Could you explain the steps you performed to get to Address Area?

Stoimen
