Hello,
I am getting this following error from my work directory log file as well trans.log file also.
4 ETW000 [dbsdbsql ,00000] *** ERROR => Connect to database failed, rc = -10709 (Connection failed (RTE:cannot create communication semaphore))
while connecting db through sql manager also the same error. Please help me
Because of this incosistency connection my JAVA is not working..
Os: Sunsolaris 10
Db: MAXDB 7.6.00 build 35.
Earlier it was working fine after i ran SGEN for my FICO related Transactions i am frequently getting error. My data base backup in the server only, No tapes also.
Please help me to sort out the error, if u know provide me the solution

& check if the operating system parameters set as recommended in the note.

Did you create an /etc/project file (according to note 724713 - parameter settings for Solaris 10)? /etc/system is no more valid on Solaris 10 to configure IPC parameters.

What you did is wrong.
A SAP system is not running under user "root" and thus your settings do not apply to the users <sid>adm, sdb and sqd<SID>.
Additionally the syntax of you project file is not correct and no users are assigned in /etc/user_attr.
Please delete in /etc/project what you have entered after the fouth colon and follow the note to create a project.
