I have configured the Area Group page through the IMG, however the changes are not appearing on the ESS Home Page. How do we get the config changes to appear in the home page? Help!!!

(1) Make sure your changes are either IN the correct client or your transport them there to test (t-code SCC1) if in the same system.

(2) Make sure on the PORTAL side that you clear the cache (done through the System->Support->Portal Content Directory->Admin path...or something closeto that ....not on right now)

OR

Set your iView parameters for your Homepage Framework to NOT buffer your settings (not recommended for production systems). There is documentation in the help file for the specific setting but it is something like sapxssmenunobuffer...as long as it is in the parameter list, it will not buffer/cache.

HI Nancy,

Have you added this Area Group page name in the iview ?

Say for example, you have created a Area(Personal Information) and have assigned this area to the area group page(SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005)

Now, go to the iview(personal information) and look for the property "Application parameters'. You need to add your area group page name here.

Ex: sap.xss.menuarea=EMPLOYEE_PERSINFO_ERP2005&sap.xss.menuargrp=SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005&sap.xss.menuhdr=SAPDEFAULT
