Dismantling handled through Sub Contracting ...

Hi Gurus,

How to handle a dismantling of an item through Sub contracting scenario ?

say .. I want a particular item to be dismantled which I provide it to a sub contractor & I want to receive the child items into my system..

Kindly provide me how this scenario be captured in detail.

Hello Nainar

Chk whether I have understood your problem correctly -

You are sending a machine (M1) to a subcontractor for dismantling into spares.

You will be receiving some of the spares (SP1, SP2) back.

In this case, create Subcontractor purchase order for SP1 with item category "L" and enter M1 as component manually.

This process will help you to consume M1 and stock of SP1 will be build.

There is a standard process of byproducts but if we it then we will have stock of both M1 as well as SP1.

This is valid if there is only one spare which we get. how it wud capture all spares ( how the PO wud be ? )

Hi,

Create one material for dismantling preferably non stock Make Sub contracting PO send the assembled item.Receive all child items as by products.

Hi,

1.Create a material as told non stock material with description as dismantling of parent item.

2.Make Sub contract PO for this item and attach parent item as component.

3.Create a BOM for non stock material with all child items as by products.

4.Once u make GR all by products will come to stock.
