DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

Former Member

Hi Guruz,

Mine is SAP 4.6C with Oracle Oracle 8i.When I am running a custom report I am getting this dump "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR".

Database error text........: "ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment

number 7 with name "PRS_5" too small#"

Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/FTCH/MSEG ]"

SQL error 1555 occurred when accessing table "MSEG ".

Any idea how to solve this from Basis/ABAP perspective.

Regards,

Mofizur

Hi Mofizur,

Snaphot too old mean that there is no space left in the rollbacksegment.

A simple solution is to increase your PSAPROLL tablespace or run your report when there is a low activity on the system.

Please reward points if the response is helpful.

Thanks,

Maniss.

Mofizur,

I'm not familiar with the PSAPROLL tablespace - I'm only just getting into Basis Admin. but, from an Operations perspective, running your report when the system is not as busy will work.As an Operator, I used to run into this issue a fair amount.

Can you run your report at a different time or is it time sensitive like after the batch cycle, for instance?

Hi Keith and all Guruz,

I asked to run the report during low utilization and the report ran successfully.

Your rollback segments are too small.

check note 3807 - Error messages regarding rollback and undo segments
