ACtully one of my client is working in ECC 5.0 using DBM 5.0 . Clients want to move to DBM 6.0 so, Is it really necessary for client to move from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 if he is moving from DBM 5.0 to DBM 6.0.
Yes you are right i want to know about Dealer Business Management only. actully my client is using SAP ECC 5.0 with DBM 5.0 now he is moving to DBM 6.0 i just want to know is it neccesary for client to move from ECC 5.0 ( SAP enterprise 2004) to ECC 6.0 ( SAP enterprise 2005)?

I know its wuite a long time that you have posted this question, if it is still a valid question, then the answer is that your customer should upgrade to ECC 6 in order to use DBM 6.
There are certain functionalities and Add-on's that you may not be able to use with ECC 5, so the implementation of DBM 6 would go for a toss..
Also, when the DBM 6 is bought by any customer, they would automatically get ECC 6.0, So your customer doesnt have to pay for it again, neverthless the changes that were made (Z Items) would have to be copied to the new ECC version.

BTW: If you dont mind asnwering this Question, which customer do you work for?? I dont know of any Indian Customer who has implemented DBM yet. Pl answer.
