Hi friends,
In BW Syetem we will create archiving objects for Infocube and ODS, Similarly in R/3 Side for which objects we can craete archiving objects. Can any one please provide the documentation on this?
I need all your valuable inputs on R/3 archiving.
Thanks & Regards,
Shareen Guduru
Hello,
On the R/3 side, SAP provides hundreds of archive objects. So you should only need to create archive objects for your custom tables. For a list of all of the R/3 archive objects, go to transaction AOBJ or SARA (and use the drop down functionality).

Hi,
Archiving removes data that R/3 no longer needs, but which must still be accessible, from the database. Documents are written to archive files, which can be stored on other media.
Data in the R/3 database is archived using archiving objects, which describe the data structure.
The following table gives you an overview of the archiving objects that are available within Financial Accounting:
Objects in Financial Accounting Archiving Object
Accounting Documents FI_DOCUMNT
Transaction Figures FI_MONTHLY
Check Data FI_SCHECK
Master Data FI_ACCOUNT
Customer Master Data FI_ACCRECV
Vendor Master Data FI_ACCPAYB
Bank Master Data FI_BANKS
Total Records and Journal Entries (Consolidation) FLC_OBJECT
Asset Accounting Data AM_ASSET
Summary and Line-Item Records (Special Purpose Ledger) FI_SL_DATA
Funds Management Documents FM_BELEG
Similarly there are different archiving object in other Modules.
