Install VC on SAP NW7.0 ABAP Trial

Hi all,

I have installed SAP NW7.0 ABAP Trial successfully, but I suppose it doesn't come with

Visual Composer. Would it be possible for me to install Visual Composer on SAP NW7.0

ABAP Trial. How?

Please advice. Thank you.

Gun.

Hi Gunawan,

the ABAP trial includes no SAP NetWeaver Portal. Visual Composer is part of the portal, so you have to install the SAP NW 7.0 Java trial here: <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0576c7e-e306-2a10-37b8-a25d82e6f9d8">https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0576c7e-e306-2a10-37b8-a25d82e6f9d8</a>

You could also try the CE trial version.

Hi Marcel,

Thanks for the reply.

Since I already install SAP NW7.0 ABAP Trial, can I add another installation of SAP NW 7.0 Java Trial without removing previous installation?

Or how to install without removing previous SAP NW7.0 ABAP Trial?

Is it possible to install SAP Portal dan Visual Composer as add-on to SAP NW7.0 ABAP

Trial instead of all SAP NW7.0 Java Trial ?

Many thanks,

Gun.

Hi Gunawan,

you can install the java part in addition to your ABAP part, so that you can use the ABAP rfc function modules as data service in your VC application, therefore you have to create a new portal system. The creation of a portal system is described in my <a href="/people/marcel.salein/blog/2007/03/14/how-to-create-a-portal-system-for-using-it-in-visual-composer:///people/marcel.salein/blog/2007/03/14/how-to-create-a-portal-system-for-using-it-in-visual-composer

I hope you have powerful hardware to install both on your machine. I recommend a virtual machine for each installation.

Best Regards,

Marcel
