Late planning in CTM

Friends, need help!

We are trying to run CTM for a Product in APO SCM 5.0 and we have the following issue:

CTM is recommending production AFTER the periodit is required, means demads is in May& June but planned ordesr to fulfill those demands are shown in October.

This does not occur for all products but happens somewhat randomly. Reviews of the product,

resource, and PDS master data does not show any differences between the

products for which results are as expected and those for which results

are incorrect. PDS are set up with the finished good material only -

there are no component availability issues. PDS and Resources are

set up to simulate infinite capacity - there are no production capacity

issues. Planning calendars and timestreams are set up as 24 x7 x 365:

there are no periods during which production cannot occur.

Pls help me out with your suggestions.

Hi Yogendra ,

Check the values maintained (no of days) in the Order Creation Start cell in following path .

/SAPAPO/CTM - Capable-to-Match (CTM) Planning >Strategies Tab Page> order creation area -->Order Creation Start

This defines the order start dates in CTM run and the no of days must be lying in the planning period .

Can you elaborate on the late demand fulfilment and early demand fulfilment strategies/settings set up in CTM Global settings, CTM profile and Location products ?
