what is the use of selected set.when we have to use selected set practically.plz clarify soon.

Selected sets are used while making a usage decision ,suppose you are inspection a liquid ,first create selected set as accepted,Rejected and rework

so while making a usage decision you can specify whether rework is required or rejected based on that quality score will automatically calculate.Based on the quality score you can valuate the vendor based on quality

catalogs are just for information ,whereas in selected sets only you can say whether the entered codes are accepted or not, also you can make follow up actions as well as stock posting

Hello Prasad,

Selected sets are commonly used for qualitative characteristics:

i.e. You have a characteristic Color

-> Selected set Colors contains the following values:

red - Accept

brown - Accept

green - Reject

black - Reject

blue - Reject

yellow - Reject

white - Reject

In this case you can valuate the characteristic via the color selected.

Hi,

We create UD(Usage Decision) code and UD code group. This will be maintained at client level.

Just to make these things specific to plants we create selected sets. Selected Sets are UD codes maintained for plants.
