Unit of measure relation 1,000,000 to 1

Hello Guys,

In the material master data i have the requirement to add an alternative unit of measure. The relation is 1 MIU (mega international unit) = 1,000,000 IU

The denominator accepts maximum 6 positions (=100,000).

We dont want to use intermediate UOM (e.g. 1 KUI = 1000 UI and 1 MUI = 1000 KUI). We want to have a direct conversion. Do you know how can i solve this problem?

Instead of maintaining 1 MIU = 1,000,000 IU.....Pl. maintain as

0.1 MIU = 100,000....and try...

For maintaining in Decimal place, make necessary settings in

Transaction code: CUNI...

Generally, the alternative units of measure and the base unit of measure should result in quantities that are in the same dimension since the conversion factors may not be larger than 99999/1 and not smaller than 1/99999.

See OSS note 362932. It has all kind of information about conversion, rounding errors, recommendation on how to choose the correct base unit of measure.....

Hi Manuals,

I had similar problem on one of the project ,denominator field length is limited to 6

lot of communication with SAP

But no solution ,Finally had to take intermidiate UOM

You can try persuing SAP
