Hi,
Please let me know what is FTP AND NFS?????
and wat is the difference between them?
And wat is meant my service pack and wat are the advantages in sp16?????
Rgds
Ruchitha.
FTP: File Transfer Protocol
NFS: Network File System Protocol.
Use of FTP: File Adapter act as a FTP client means, when you select FTP protocol, XI will read or write the file from the FTP server.
Use of NFS: When the file is present in the XI server itself(means in the OS where XI is installed). Then NFS is use is File adapter to read or write the file from XI directory.
Thanks
Farooq.

the major difference is that FTP is used to pick/put files from an FTP server while NFS is used to pick/put files to the XI server itself.
