Delete customer No from SAP

Hi,

SAP will not support for deletion of customer codes same as how we cn not delete billing documents.

You can resolve this issue by using either of tcodes XD02 or XD05.

the simplest way is u can go to XDO2 and enter needed details and once the system brings you to general data of customer go to menu bar and select "EXTRAS" tab and you can opt for deletion flag or blocking data data as per the need of sales areas and company codes.

Hi Sayee,

SAP will support for deletion for billing document and as well as deletion of Customer master data. This is mainly done by Basis consultant or Archiving consultant. In Sales and Distribution we can also delete sales order, delivery document and shipment document. For more information please goto <u>sap.help.com</u>

When I'm trying to do the process as recommended by you system is giving the error message "LINK STORED INCOMPLETELY".What should I do now?Pls respond as early as possible?

Hi Santhosh,

This error message is due to, problem in the connection with external storage system. Check your content repository which you have assigned to the archiving object. If you have not mentioned the content repository in archiving object specific customizing then please select from the drop box or selection box.

If you could not find any content repository in this drop box then you have to create the content repository.

If you don't want to store this CMR then mark the store option as manual in archiving object specific customizing. Then you can archive and delete the CMR from the data base.

Hi Shiby,

Yes, you can delete the customer master record from the data base if system satisfy following criteria:

1. CMR should be flagged for deletion.

2. There should be no open item for this customer.

For Deleting this customer you have to go with Archiving process.

We can do archiving with the help of Archiving Development Kit. Please use archiving object FI_ACCRECV.

Note: Even though this Customer master record archiving object is dependent on various other archiving object you can go and delete the CMR if there is no open items.

To check Basic customizing:

Steps: SARA > Enter FI_ACCRECV > click on customizing > check archiving object specific customizing - Technical setting: Here please check for followings

1. Logical file name:

2. Archive file size: 100

3. Production Mode variant: PRODUCTIVE

3. Deletion program setting: Select Automatic deletion

4. Storage: It is an optional, if you want you can store it in external storage system. For storing it into external storage, system should have connection to storage server.

5. content Repository:

After checking then proceed for next steps:

SARA > enter FI_ACCRECV > Click on Preprocessing > create variant > select you customer number to be deleted in selection screen > Click on Attributes > enter text > save.

Schedule the Job by maintain the spool parameters and Start time and execute the job (F8).

Next step:

SARA > enter FI_ACCRECV > click on Write > take the same variant that you have already created in preprocessing > save.

Schedule the Job and check the Job log and spool list which shows that your customer master date is archived and deleted from the database.

This is how Customer Master data should be deleted form the database.

Actually if u want, delete the blocked customers through using XD05 transaction.i think it may be help to u.

Hi,

You cannot delete customer master data from SAP,only you can block or set flag for deletion by using XD05 and XD06 transaction respectively.

reason for doing this is,you can always use that customer code to the new customers by changing description of the customer.

Hi,

U can not delet the customer no from data base. If you want stop him from business either u can block him or mark him for deletion using TC: VD05/06. transaction.

The other opion to delete the customers is archiving. But this is lenthy process to apply. More or less it is a small project.

You cannot delete a customer code once it is created. However, you can do mark for Deletion through <b>XD06</b> either at Company Code level or Sales Area.

Put ur customer no. and select the slaes are or what ever block u want for this customer . We generally don't delete the customer we blocked it from doing transaction
