Task list group & group counter, Maintenance plan number range

Dear Friends;

I am facing following problems, pls. let me know- how can I sort these out.

1) In the 3 modules PM/CS & QM, we are creating task lists for equipment.

Now, I want to have separate number range for PM/ QM & CS, so that it is easily identifiable as well as user friendly. So is there any way by which I can achieve this?

2) We create maintenance plans with maintenance order/ notification as call object. Again we want to segregate this plans with pre defined number range, how can I do this?

3) If I want to have a field mandatory 'in maintenance plans' only for PM without affecting QM/ CS plans, how can I do it?

Pls. give your valuable input.

Points assured.

Thanks & Regards

Hemant

hi hemant

issue 1

you can create different number ranges for task list used in PM( OIL5) and QM (OQ62).whereas PM configuration is integerated with CS hence different number ranges is not possible

issue 2

create an individual order type for PM and CS ,assign suitable number ranges ,create different planner group for PM and CS and assign the created order to the different planner group

Issue 3

Field selection is also possible to make mandatory for PM and QM ( you can see different task list type specified while making the field selection) whereas for CS and PM you have to create different planner group in task list then you can make influencing field for each planner group in the field selection

Hello Thyagarajan;

Thanks for your reply.

I want to know in issue 2;

I want to assign or divide number range in a way say;

For QM: 1- 10000

For PM: 10001- 20000

& for CS 20001-30000

So when a QM user is creating a maintenance plan it starts with 1, for PM it will start with 10001 & for CS 20001.

This way maintenance plans will be easily identifiable module-wise.

How can I achieve it?

hi hemant

As i said earlier create different order type for PM ,CS,for QM better you can maintain inspection lot ,if you use order then create another order type for QM

example:

PM10-Preventive maintenance order-PM

CS10-Preventive maintenance order-CS

QM10-Preventive maintenance order-QM

Assing sutibale number ranges

Create different planner group ( OIAI )say PM,CS,QM and In T code OIVA assign PM-PM10,CS-CS10 and QM-QM10

Hope this will help you
