Hi Experts,
We have maintained the records for the exemption amount in infotype 582 under medical and child educaiton allowance.
These amounts are not exempting from tax and not shown the salary projection report under section 10c.
Please help with your valuable inputs.
Thanks
Siddardh
Hi,
Did you maintain the infotype 0021.
Once we maintain this infotype, the dependents from this infotype will be picked by infotype 0582 - there you need to maintain as an exemption.
Just check whether still any fields need to maintain in 0582, as now i am not on Indian payroll, I dont have access to that infotype.
If still ur unable to get, just let me know.

Hi Siddharth
Its mandatory to maintain infotype 21 to avail exemptions.
Basically these exemptions are available only for the employee & their dependents. If the employee is an unmarried person, then obviously he is not eligible for CEA, if he is married then his details of spouse & children shd be there in 21, which will be defaulted to 582 automatically.
If there are no details mentioned in IT 0021 & ur providing the tax exemtion of Rs. 200/- for CEA in IT 0582, then payroll doesnt consider at all.
Just try as above for one emp, even then if ur not getting just let me know
Reward if applicable
