System copy error

Hi,

I have applied kernal EXT (1068) in OLD BOX (V5R2,SAP40B) and restored all the SAP(40B) related IFS and Libraries sucessfully in NEW BOX(V5R4) .

Now the problem is when I start the Instance

1. msg_server

2. SAPOSCOL (Perfomance collector)

3. WRK00 (workprocess)

Is not running but all other jobs are running. when I try logon from SAP GUI, The first Screen is displying some special char like (@@ @) and not showing Client,Username and password.

Pls sugesst some clue. where exactly problem existing.

Is this maybe an EBCDIC-ASCII problem (wrong kernel installed)?

We applied EBCDIC kernal only. V5R4 supporting which type of format? EBCDIC or ASCII .

Pls give me some clue.

You must install EBCDIC kernel for 40B and your OS necessarily must be EBCDIC...V5R4 offcourse comes in as EBCDIC as well as ASCII...it depends.

Have you installed the 64 bit EXT kernel?

See Note 85845.

Else try deleting SQL packages. Reward points accordingly
