Configuring Order type

HI,

Following field are required to fill for configuring new Order Type, settlement profile = 40, we used to fill, plz guide the use of other fields, and in w/c condition we require them.

CO Partner Update

Open item management

Revenue posting

Settlement profile

Budget Profile

Object Class

Residence Time1

Residence Time2

hi deepak

you can find the information on the Tab itself by pressing the F1 button itself, anyway iam passing the information i know

Co partner update and Open itm management is concerned with CO module, as far as open item mangement is converned if they activate only you can add components and do the process

Revenue posting are basically used for sales order and etc which is used where money is flowing into the company( ie if you sell a procduct maney will be credited) so for PM part dont activiate it

Setttlement profile is used to specify the order how to settle either in full or amount, and where to settle order,material and etc

Budget profile is used if you want to have a control of the order based on the budget allocated

object class is to specify the order which type it is ,for PM it is overhead because whatever activity we are performing will be consider has secondary cost only

Residence time is specified to how much longer the order should be available before you will be deleted using archiving after setting deletion flag

kindly cross check with your CO consultant for the <b>OPEN ITEM MANAGEMNT</b> ,i think it has different prespective

hi,

mostly all points are cleared by tyagrajan sir,

as far as open item magement is concered.. this is used for commitment managment.. if you check this indicator. u will be able to manage commitment in your order type.

in a simple words commitment is a promise to outside party ( vendor) that we will pay him certain amount wihtin a certain time period. commitment management is only for External procurment.. not for internal activities.....
