Password reset option

Hi all,

At present, whenever the ESS users forget their password and want to reset it,

they are having to send mail to Basis team and get it done.

Instead is it possible to give a provision to reset the password in the logon screen itself. Is it possible to change the HTML template to provide this option?

We are using external ITS with ECC 5.0 and the service for logon is PZM3.

Please advice.

Hello Anbarasan,

since you do not login to the ITS but to the backend server there must be some extension (e. g. in ABAP) to support such a feature. Until there is no tool in the backend I don't see any chance to get this done with an HTML Business template.

At least it is also a question of security.

However, I understand your intention. But the ITS alone can not help in that. Maybe there exist some report or dynpro that does this job. Does anybody know about it?
