jdbc driver for type-2 JDBC and MS Sql 2005

JDBC installed in my sytem is type 2 and the database is MS Sql 2005 .

Now i want to install java driver for MS Sql 2005 but it seems this database doesnot support type-2 JDBC .it supports only type-4 jdbc (SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver 1.2)

pl help to resolve the problem .

what do u mean with type-2 or type-4. I have done this before for SQL 2005 but never had this problem.

The JDBC driver for SQL 2000 absolutely works for SQL 2005 server as well. Never heard of any thing like type 2 or Type 4 though..!!
