How to change display mode of document to change mode

Hi sap gurus,

My client is asking after ataching a document to object link like material master. My clinet wants to edit the document in MM02 itself, but it is in display mode. My client is not willing to use cv02n transaction for editing.

Can anybody tell me how to edit a document in MM02 it self

Hi,

I do not think editing attached documents in MM02 transaction is supported. The logic could be that documents are generally kept in a different server (DMS) and only the link to the document is provided in material master.

Hi,

I'm sorry but in the standard the only possibility to edit a document info record is

to use transaction CV02N. Unfortunatly there is no other possibilty to change the document in dialoge mode.
