RFC Communication Using Exchange Infrastructure

Hi All,

Trusting you will be doing fine.

I need some help regarding the Exchange Infrastructure configuration. I wanted to communicate from an R/3 application server to another R/3 application server using SAP XI. But i don't know about the various settings involved. I will really appreciate if any of you can provide me with some details about the same or some document which gives step by step description of settings involved.

Hi!!!

Which version of SAP R/3 do you have? I mean which version of Web Application Server is used by your SAP R/3 systems?

If it's below 6.20 then you can read about RFC sender and receiver adapters on help.sap.com.

If it's 6.20 or above then maybe ABAP proxy mechanism is the right choice for you (also check help.sap.com).
