PGrp required to change PO - Extended Classic

Former Member

We have activated the Extended Classic scenario. We have assigned role SAP_EC_BBP_OP_PURCHASER to a user (Shopper) so that he can change PO's in SRM.

When the Shopper goes in to Process PO transaction, he gets the error "Please assign Purchasing group to user".

We do not want to maintain Purchasing groups for any user having access to change PO's. How can we get around this issue ?

Hi Sanjeev,

If you don't want to assign your user to any particular P.group then assign the user at P.Org level.

This message comes when the user is not assigned at P.Group level but then you can able to change the P.O even though you have assigned the user at P.Org level.

You can not create P.O directly using "Process Purchase Orders" in this case.

In case you want to restrict the access to the user for particular P.Groups you can use the BADI suggested by Atul.

Hope this resolves your issue.Clarifications are welcome.

Hi

Using BADIs this can be done..

Option 1), try using BBP_WFL_LIST BADI

See this link ->

Option 2), try using combination of BBP_DOC_CHANGE and BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADIs

Do let me know.
