User Interface with SRM Server as Add-On

Former Member

Hello,

we are currently using R/3 4.7 and plan to upgrade to ECC6.0

At the moment, we have an own EBP Server with Version BBPCRM4.0. The reason for this implementation was, that we didn't want the user to login on the SAP System, but to login on the Web Interface.

With ECC6.0 comes the possibility to implement the SRM Server as Add-On to the core system. Would the user interface remain the same?

Where can I get further information?

Thanks in advance,

Matthias

Hi

ECC 5.0 does not come with EBP or SRM. ECC 6.0 (ERP 2005) comes with SRM Server as an add-on. Only self service procurement and supplier enablement scenarios are supported. Not recommended for sourcing scenarios and multi-backend deployment options.

Please look at http://help.sap.com/erp

Then click on SAP SRM for ERP.

you will find very good documentation here.

Dear Atul,

thank you for your very helpful answer, but it doesn't answer my question completely as I couldn't find information about the user interface with SRM as Add-On.

Anyone already implemented SRM as Add-On to ECC6.0 ?

Hi Matthias,

the user interface for EBP is the same for the add-in as it is for a normal implementation of EBP.

The users won't actually notice any difference.
