how to convert Purchasing document date fo fiscal year/period conversion??

hi,

i want to calculate the period at which the document was created i.e purchasing doc date.In order to do this we should calculate the period at which the document was created, i.e purchasing doc date .

how to Convert the purchasing doc date to period/year during transformation in BI. which provides the requirement to add the period/year as time chars in data target.
