Negative Stock

Hi

In my organization for one material system allowing Negative stock,though there is no seeting for Negative stock in configuartion ,as I have checked the same at following ,

1) At Plant Level ( T-Code - OMJ1 )

2) At Storage Location level

3) In Material Master View ,(Plant/SLoc. data view2), no setting is done for negative stock.

System is allowing negative stock and we have to stop this.Please let me know,where our setting is missing.....it is very urgent.

Dear rajesh,

please also check the posting date of the document posted. If the document is posted in the previous date then u will find negetive stock.

Hello Rajesh,

if you didn't allow negative stocks at all (OMJ1 on every level & material master), and you have some, it means that you're facing a stock inconsistency.

Implement note 32236 and open a message on component MM-IM-GF-INC.

We have checked OMLB also,but there is no tick in " Negative Stock ".

Hi Rajesh,

I don't know whether it helps you or not but SAP help says that (some points of this were already discussed) you can ban negative stocks:

- for valuation area & for SL in Customizing

- in MM

...and says that special stocks must also be banned in customizing for valuation area(s).

Have you banned special stocks & normal stocks for valuation area as well?

Hi Rajesh

U can only maintain -ve stock setting in OMJ1

Make sure that in detail of plant and storage location no tick has been maintained

also check whether ur valuation level is plant only

We have checked at all possible locations mentioned by me in my post. So there is no tick ,though system is allowing negative stock....

Hi,

How you are doing the postings, which transaction are you using.

Are you getting any message while postings the negative stock means any warning message like that, or system is directly posting the negative stock

Check this.

There is no warning message but system is allowing to post negative stocks though there is no configuartion setting as we have checked as mentioned in my question. I am unable to find how to stop this.....
