CONTAINER STUFFING

Hi,

We are in the process of finalizing our blue print,Need more

clarification on the "container Stuffing". It has been identified as

not a standard feature of SAP,would like to know the solution from your

end.

Our core business falls in the category of tyres trading , import and reexport tyres

stuffed in containers. It is a business requirement that our import and

export people should know how much they can accomodate in each

container before ordering from supplier or sending it to customer. This

information is a important requirement through out the supply chain and

procurement. If we work based on the CBM there is a big gap with the

actuals because of the way the tyres are getting stuffed in the

container.

In our existing system we are maintaining the stuffing details item

wise and container type wise(Ex item X we can load 550 Pcs in 20 Ft

container , 1100 PCS in 40 Ft container , 1250 Pcs in 40 FT HC

container) . When the user is entering a particular order with 20

different items system calculates the stuffing accordingly and advices

the user to select the container type as well as to make sure that they

are ordering in full containers. Would like to know how this

functionality can be handled by SAP ?
