Hi,
Once functional people make changes or create objects in SPRO screen, system pop upsscreen to creat request. this request is called customizing request.
Once technical people make changes or creat objects in SE38/SE11 transaction, system pop ups screen to creat request. this request is called work bench request.
Example: create Sales office in SPRO screen (this is customizing request)
Create 'Z' table in SE11. ( this is work bench request).

Request Means sap have more no of datas ,so transfer the data from one end to another end or (IMPORT/EXPORT)
this reg classified in two types
Workbench reg: it is cross client.(only tech) example from 025client to 030 client)
Cust.Reg:It is in that client only.(here techno functional con used ) here only 025 like any error occur in AAD means at that create one reguest)

Hi,
For your easy understanding in case of any changes done by the ABAP team like adding new data in output forms(smart forms) called workbench request.
where as if any functional team made any config changes like pricing procedure changes are called customization changes.
By using the T.code SE09 you can input needed data and find weather the particular request is customization or workbench request.
for your better understanding use this tcode and abserve the data fields.

Hi,
Some tables in the SAP, If you do any changes in it ,then it will affect all the clients in the system....It is called Cross client Tables or Client Independent Tables.....If you save after doing any configuration changes, It will be saved in Workbench Request and you need not transport this with in physically single server.....If you want to transport to any other server, then you need to Transport....Eg. for Client Independent Conditions are All access sequence tables, Unit of measurement tables, Factory Calendor etc...
Many tables in the SAP system, If you do any changes in it ,then it will not affect all the clients in the system...It will affect only that particular client only..It is called Client dependent Tables.....If you save after doing any configuration changes, It will be saved in Customizing Request and you need to transport this with in physically single server also for client to client transport...Eg. Many of the configuration changes you are doing in SAP, those are Client dependent conditions only....
Whenever you are doing any configuration changes, while doing you will get request no.....there if you notice, you can find Whether it is Workbench Request or Customization Request.....
Reward if useful

hi
The Change Request is that request when you do some thing new in customizing or configuration in the system. The system will automatically pop with the change request pop box , when you can give request name as defined by the system or can give your own request name with heading of what changes you have made while customization. The system will generate a request number and you save it. (e.g.:- VEDK-2785467) VEDK- means the Clients System name then followed by the system generated request number.
Now when you want to release the request you have to use the T-code SE10 where you can see the requests under the heading modifiable or released. Go to the modifiable option. Each request will have again an internal request number. First you have to release the internal request and then release the external request number. This will in turn released by the basis guys thru the T-code SM64 in a group when all the requests are pooled from different users.
The task which you have mentioned in your question is nothing but the what task you have performed while customizing the client system and the heading name which have given it for that task and generated a request for that task.
