how can we give alphanumeric number range for customer master Eg: AD147

Yes, It is possible, When a number range is only numeric, the zeros are prefixed. and when a number range is Alphanumerics, the zeros are suffixed.Only in the case of external number range

ex.:00000520000 (Numaric)

AB5200000000 (Alfanumaric

Hi,

Define the customer as External number then you can assign alpha numeric, if it is internal then only numeric is possible.
